A first step towards change

Therapy can be a scary thought. Trusting a stranger with your trauma, hurt, pain and emotion is probably one of the hardest things a person can do.

But don't worry, I'll help you with every step and we won't be strangers for long...

I am here to help you find your way - with empathy, understanding and an individual approach tailored to your personal needs. Find out more about me and my work as a psychotherapist.

Who is Chloe?

Chloe Press BA(Hons), MSc, MBACP
Person-Centred Therapist

Hello, I’m Chloe – a qualified person-centred therapist with a BA (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Master’s degree in Psychology. I’m a registered member of the BACP with over five years’ experience supporting individuals and couples through a wide range of challenges, including addiction, trauma, depression, and anxiety.

My path into therapy began with my own experience of struggling with depression and self-esteem issues. I know how vulnerable it can feel to reach out for support — and how transformative it can be to feel truly heard. That personal journey shaped the therapist I am today: compassionate, down-to-earth, and deeply committed to offering a safe, respectful space where you can be yourself.

While my academic training informs my work, I believe it's the human connection — warmth, honesty, and presence — that makes therapy meaningful. I offer a calm, non-judgmental environment where you can explore whatever you’re facing, at your own pace.

I live with my partner in a small town in Rossendale, where we enjoy a quieter pace of life surrounded by nature. Outside of therapy, I find real joy and grounding in the everyday — especially through spending time with my dogs, who are a big part of my world and bring so much warmth and balance to my life. Whether we’re out walking in the hills or curled up at home, they remind me daily of the value of presence and connection.

Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to — someone who brings a calm, steady energy to the room and meets them with genuine care.

Whether you're navigating a difficult chapter, feeling stuck, or simply want space to reflect and grow, I'm here to walk alongside you.
